I’m Kristian Williams, a fashion designer and artist based in Brisbane, Australia. This brand is not a beginning, but a continuation - a new chapter written with the same ink I first used in 2015, when I founded Bonita Collective with a clear intention: to create fashion that feels like art, empowers individuality, and celebrates women through bold expression.
From the very beginning, family was woven into Bonita Collective- not just behind the scenes, but at its very heart. That foundation of shared creativity, trust, and love continues to shape everything I create today. Now, 2.5 years into Kristian Williams The Brand, the vision remains unwavering: fashion as storytelling, colour as emotion, and design as a form of freedom.
My work is informed by a rich and ever-evolving tapestry of inspiration - history and heritage, art and architecture, travel and nature, film, music, and the quiet poetry of everyday life. During my years as Creative Director of Bonita Collective until June 2023, I developed a signature aesthetic that merged contemporary silhouettes with artistic detail. Today, that language has become more personal, more intuitive, and more expressive in this solo venture.
At its core, this brand is a family expression of creativity. My mother, Mairette Williams - an accomplished artist and designer - has been one of the most profound influences on my creative life. Her fearless approach to colour, texture, and form, and her deep respect for craftsmanship, are embedded in the soul of this brand. My sister, Hannah Williams, is equally integral - her creative insight, perspective, and unwavering support help bring each vision to life. Together, we are a family united by a shared love of fashion, art, and meaningful creation.
Kristian Williams The Brand exists to celebrate individuality and empowerment. Each piece is designed as a wearable artwork - thoughtfully crafted for women who embrace bold colour, expressive prints, intricate embellishment, and the confidence to stand unapologetically in their own style. These are garments made to be felt, remembered, lived in and kept forever.
Integrity and intention guide every collection. We proudly support artisanal communities through genuine, long-term partnerships, honouring traditional techniques and human hands behind every piece. Sustainability is central to our process - with limited production runs that resist mass manufacturing and align with the principles of circular fashion, encouraging longevity, care, and connection.
This is fashion shaped by memory, movement, and emotion. A story that began in 2015, carried forward by family, and continues to evolve - one collection, one artwork, one woman at a time.
